Love that - a nut to crack. Do you wonder what we'll do if all the mystery is gone?

L. E. Mullin's avatar

Interesting question. I think if all the mystery were gone, we would know the answer to it.

We can reject the pure bad, worse and worst stories. Because the Fallen Angels are already in the good, the better and the best stories. That realisation may come as a shell shock to the nut inside the shell.

You just gave the nut something to think about.

Dear Mr. Mullin,

You are a very talented cartoonist and storyteller.

We have Copenhagen Comics on May 23-24, 2026:

https://copenhagencomics.dk/udenlandske-skabere/

At meetings with people at the exhibition fair, I could hand out a coloured, double‑sided A4 sheet as an advertisement for your art and storytelling.

We might imagine a cover featuring cartoon images of your choice, e.g. The Flight of the Condor.

The back cover could present you with a portrait photograph, a link to your Substack, etc., and include a scene from your strips, where a humorous or ironic remark from The Condor brings a smile to people’s faces.

It could work very well.

Please, feel free to contact me:

j.d.olesen@gmail.com

Best regards.

Wow, man, it's a great idea. Let me think about it and I'll drop you a line. Have fun at the Con!

There is nothing new under the sun; the stories come around and go around; they just wear different clothes.

They’re all just old friends, and you have to visit your friends from time to time.
